Adjacent to open space, the rear of this Marin suburban home was underutilized for this active family of four. The design weaves together a seamless series of family friendly elements - a swimming pool, pool house and entertainment deck with outdoor kitchen and firepit. Precise tree work opened views to the hills beyond, transforming the garden into a true view lot. Contemporary materials like Ipe decking, colored concrete paving and board form concrete retaining walls are used to detail the space, providing durability that will weather well with this frequently used garden.
