The Land Collaborative provides one point of contact for your landscape design and construction project from beginning to end.

Schematic Design

Upon approval of the Design Proposal, we will create a Schematic Design or Master Plan. This is a comprehensive hand-drawn landscape design, showing our general concepts and theming. We’ll analyze the architecture, site conditions and any unique opportunities your property offers to the process. We’ll create a combination of hand-drawn graphics and imagery to communicate the design.

Design Development

With your approval of the Schematic Design, we will proceed with the Design Development drawings. During this phase, we will present hardscape material selections and work through the planting and lighting plans to complete the design vision. We will create these various drawings using computer aided drafting (CAD).

Construction Budget

The Land Collaborative provides a construction budget that corresponds to the final Design Development plan. This construction budget allows us to assist our Clients in making important cost and construction phasing decisions before the drawing set is complete.

Construction Documents

We will finalize the drawings with your input from the Construction Budget. The Construction Documents will establish critical dimensions, assemble construction details, and finalize the plan set to communicate the design intent for permitting and construction implementation. These documents will guide our landscape construction team during installation.

Permitting Process

When required for the project, we’ll work closely with your local jurisdiction to help ensure successful approvals through any required Planning, Building, or Environmental permits. We’ll produce and submit drawing packages and required calculations. We’ll coordinate, as needed, with the appropriate consultants to respond to the requirements, until the necessary permits are issued.

Landscape Construction

The Land Collaborative provides all project management and oversight for your landscape construction project. We keep you up to date on the status of your landscape project with frequent, clear communication. Our construction crew of TLC employees and sub-contractors collaborate as an integrated and efficient team. The built result is a thoughtful and well-constructed landscape for you to enjoy for years to come.
